Location: Paris (Flexible)

We are supporting a leading global financial institution in its search for an experienced Quantitative Developer to join their trading technology team based in Paris. This team plays a critical role in designing and maintaining the infrastructure that powers ETF market making and real time trading operations. The environment is fast paced, collaborative, and deeply technical, offering exposure to cutting edge financial technologies and trading strategies.

As a Quantitative Developer, you will be part of a cross-functional team responsible for building and optimising systems that directly support trading activities. Your work will focus on performance, scalability, and reliability, with a strong emphasis on real-time data processing and algorithmic trading infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with traders, quantitative researchers, and other technologists to enhance pricing models and trading methodologies.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable systems for large scale data analysis and experimentation
  • Building robust booking systems and real-time price computation engines
  • Optimising performance of trading infrastructure and ensuring low-latency execution
  • Strengthening the reliability of systems supporting ETF market-making
  • Integrating and evaluating third-party tools and market data sources
  • Ensuring accurate computation of risk and P&L across trading desks
  • Working closely with traders and quantitative researchers to improve pricing models
  • Contributing to algorithm design and refinement for Delta One strategies
  • Participating in hardware selection and network performance analysis
  • Developing and maintaining market data storage solutions
  • Implementing high-speed data transfer mechanisms and distributed systems

Tech Stack:
Languages & Frameworks: C++, C#, Python
Environment & Tools: Linux-based systems, Web services and APIs, Real-time data processing tools, Distributed systems, Performance monitoring and profiling tools

Domain Knowledge:
Understanding of equity derivatives, ETFs, and arbitrage mechanisms
Familiarity with liquidity provision and pricing dynamics

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience as a software engineer or quantitative developer in financial services
  • Strong proficiency in Python and/or C++ (mandatory)
  • Experience with Python
  • Comfortable working in Linux environments and with real-time systems
  • Effective communicator with the ability to work closely with trading teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
