Glocomms is partnering with one of the top engineering firms in Arizona to find a Systems Administrator to join the IT department. In this role, the Systems Administrator must maintain and support the firm's network infrastructure and ensure that all systems are reliable, high-performing, and secure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support network infrastructure, including servers, switches, wireless systems, firewalls, and VPN connectivity
  • Monitor system health to ensure stable performance and prevent service interruptions
  • Manage Windows-based servers, directory services, and cloud productivity environments
  • Assist with security‑focused activities such as patching, monitoring alerts, and addressing vulnerabilities
  • Troubleshoot issues related to network connectivity, authentication, and user access
  • Support backup routines, recovery processes, and data‑protection tools
  • Participate in infrastructure upgrades and improvements driven by business needs
  • Handle user onboarding tasks such as account setup and access configuration
  • Maintain clear documentation of systems, procedures, and network architecture
  • Work with third‑party vendors when external support or coordination is required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
  • At least 3 years of experience supporting networked environments
  • Experience managing Windows servers and troubleshooting server‑related issues
  • Familiarity with identity systems, user/group management, and policy administration
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals such as routing, VLANs, IP addressing, and firewalls
  • Experience with monitoring tools, backup solutions, and virtualized environments
  • Ability to identify and escalate potential security concerns
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills
