Senior Data Architect - Security & Governance

Glocomms is partnered with a major mutual life insurance company, seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Data Security Architect to lead the design and implementation of robust data protection frameworks across our client's enterprise. This role is pivotal in shaping the client's data security posture, ensuring compliance with global regulations, and safeguarding sensitive information throughout its lifecycle. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in data security technologies, a strong understanding of AI/ML security risks, and the ability to influence executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement enterprise-wide data protection strategies, policies, and frameworks.
  • Architect secure data platforms, pipelines, and AI/ML workflows, including GenAI and agentic systems.
  • Apply advanced encryption, tokenization, masking, and anonymization techniques across the data lifecycle.
  • Define and enforce data retention and destruction policies in line with compliance mandates.
  • Conduct adversarial testing (e.g., prompt injection, data leakage, data poisoning) to assess and enhance system resilience.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CCPA, and other privacy regulations; support audit readiness and cross-border data risk assessments.
  • Secure cloud data environments (AWS, Databricks, Snowflake) and manage MLOps security.
  • Utilize tools like Collibra, Informatica, and Microsoft Purview for data governance and classification.
  • Develop and maintain reference architectures, blueprints, and executive-level reporting on data security posture.
  • Stay ahead of emerging threats and technologies in AI/LLM security, agentic security, and data governance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in information security, with 5+ years focused on data security and privacy.
  • Proven expertise in designing and implementing secure data architectures in complex enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of data privacy laws, compliance frameworks, and cloud-native security.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence across technical and executive teams.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CIPP, CCSP, AWS Security Specialty) are a plus.
