Network Security Director
Glocomms is partnering with a world-class medical center to find a leader that will support the protection of the organization's digital infrastructure by overseeing the design, implementation, and management of secure network systems. The position involves guiding a team, working across departments, and ensuring that all network-related activities align with security best practices and organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead a long-term plan to secure the organization's network systems and data.
- Supervise and support a team of network security professionals, ensuring effective operations and continuous development.
- Design and maintain secure network environments using tools like firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Lead the response to security incidents, including investigation, coordination, and resolution.
- Conduct regular evaluations of network systems to identify and address potential vulnerabilities.
- Promote awareness of cybersecurity practices through training and internal communications.
- Manage relationships with external security vendors and ensure their services meet internal standards.
- Stay informed about new threats and technologies, and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Maintain documentation of incidents and provide regular updates to leadership.
- Help plan and manage the budget for network security tools and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science or Cybersecurity.
- At least four years of experience in a leadership role within IT or network security.
- Strong hands-on experience with enterprise security technologies, including Cisco, Palo Alto, and F5.
