Location: Paris (hybrid/ remote) OR London (remote)
The Opportunity
Within the Digital Department, you will lead the entire data function, covering platform, data products, quality, and governance. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will sit on the executive leadership team.
Your mission is to transform the data function into a scalable platform that powers operational products, AI services, and advanced use cases-built on reliable, governed, and semantically consistent data that is AI-ready at scale.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Data Products
- Define and deliver the data strategy in alignment with the broader technology roadmap
- Build and scale a portfolio of data products with clear quality contracts, SLAs, and usage metrics
- Drive the evolution towards a self-service data model for internal stakeholders
Data Platform
- Lead the development of the data lake across priority business domains
- Oversee the platform team (ingestion, infrastructure, pipelines)
- Ensure a modern data architecture capable of supporting AI-driven and real-time use cases
Data Quality & Governance
- Establish a governance framework with clear accountability for data ownership
- Implement automated data quality controls (schema, freshness, completeness, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (GDPR, lineage, traceability, right to erasure)
- Contribute to AI governance initiatives, particularly around data quality and provenance
Leadership
- Lead and scale a multidisciplinary data organisation (Data Platform, Analytics, AI) of 15+ people
- Structure the team to deliver transformation while maintaining operational excellence
- Attract, develop, and retain top data and AI talent
Success Metrics (First 12 Months)
- Delivery of operational data products with active business adoption
- Deployment of a production-ready data lake across key domains
- Implementation of robust data governance with automated quality controls
- Tangible progress in data self-service adoption
- Active contribution to enterprise AI governance on data-related topics
