About the Role
Our client is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with customers to deploy, integrate, and optimize their platform in real-world environments.
This is a highly customer-facing engineering role focused on solving technical problems in live environments. It is not a pure software engineering role.
Responsibilities
- Deploy and integrate the product into customer environments
- Lead implementations from initial setup through production
- Troubleshoot issues across cloud, Kubernetes, and distributed systems
- Support customer engagements across pre-sales and post-sales
- Build proofs of concept and tailored solutions
- Partner with Product and Engineering to relay customer feedback
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in a customer-facing engineering role (FDE, Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, Customer Engineer, Implementation Engineer)
- Computer Science or related technical degree
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, cloud platforms, or DevOps tooling
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in live environments
- Proven ability to work directly with customers
Nice to Have
- Experience with infrastructure, observability, or platform tooling
- Exposure to pre-sales or post-sales workflows
- Ability to write code for integrations or automation
