About the Team
This role sits within a central Data & AI function responsible for managing, evaluating, and delivering both traditional and alternative data to investment teams. The group includes specialists across data strategy, data science, data management, data engineering, market data, and AI.
The team's mission is to unlock the value of data by partnering with investment professionals, developing scalable evaluation methods, and expanding data discovery. Team members come from diverse analytical and technical backgrounds, united by a shared passion for applying science, data, and technology to improve investment processes.
The Role
The Analyst will support the full lifecycle of data acquisition and commercial management. This includes sourcing new datasets, overseeing vendor relationships, negotiating terms, and ensuring cost‑effective and compliant usage of data across the business.
The position requires operating in a fast‑moving environment with demanding deadlines and significant stakeholder exposure. The analyst will work with vendors and internal teams up to senior leadership levels, with autonomy to lead negotiations and structure contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the data discovery lifecycle: identify opportunities, assess new datasets, and manage vendor relationships.
- Broaden the range of data available to investment teams and build strong internal partnerships.
- Manage trial and licensing processes in coordination with research, portfolio management, compliance, and legal teams.
- Negotiate with data vendors to secure the most competitive terms.
- Identify and drive ongoing data cost‑saving opportunities.
- Oversee data contracts, audits, usage reporting, and compliance.
- Support the business with data licensing queries and provide commercial recommendations.
- Produce and maintain data reports, metrics, and dashboards.
