Forward Deployed Engineer

We are partnering an innovative technology company operating at the intersection of physical systems and digital platforms, to hire Forward Deployed Engineers.

Our client has built a proprietary platform that enables organizations to digitize physical assets and transform them into actionable, real-time data streams. This allows enterprise customers to design and deploy applications that optimize operations, improve visibility, and significantly reduce inefficiencies across complex environments such as supply chains.

With a growing U.S. presence and strong enterprise traction-including large-scale deployments with major global retailers-our client is at a pivotal stage of growth. This role offers the opportunity to directly shape how cutting-edge technology is applied in real-world environments.

The Role

This is not a traditional software engineering position.

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will serve as the critical link between customers, product, and engineering-owning the end-to-end lifecycle of deploying solutions in real-world environments. You will work directly with enterprise clients to understand their challenges, design scalable solutions, and lead implementation efforts.

What You'll Do

• Partner directly with enterprise customers to understand complex operational challenges
• Translate business problems into technical solution designs leveraging the platform
• Lead the end-to-end deployment lifecycle, including:
  • Use case definition
  • Solution architecture
  • Implementation oversight
  • Deployment and iteration
• Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, guiding them from problem definition to successful outcomes
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product and R&D teams to influence roadmap and capabilities
• Facilitate workshops, design sessions, and agile processes with both internal and client teams
• Travel to customer sites as needed to support deployments and ensure success

What We're Looking For

Core Qualifications

• Strong technical background (e.g., software engineering, systems engineering, or similar)
• Experience working directly with customers in a technical, solution-oriented capacity
• Demonstrated ability to break down complex problems and design pragmatic solutions
• Comfortable operating in ambiguous or evolving environments
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Travel: Approximately 30-40% (domestic)
