Director of AI & Data Analytics

The Director of Data & Insights serves as the product owner for the organization's data and analytics ecosystem. This role is accountable for defining the analytics roadmap, prioritizing delivery, and ensuring data products are trusted, scalable, and decision‑ready-beginning with a portfolio of ticketed attractions and experiences.

This leader drives the transformation of how the business uses data to improve performance, combining hands‑on analytics expertise with execution of a multi‑year strategic insights roadmap. Responsibilities include designing and maintaining core data models, building and validating self‑serve dashboards and reporting tools, and acting as the critical link between business needs, financial modeling, and data infrastructure.

Working closely with Sales, Operations, Finance, Revenue Management, and Marketing as part of a small, cohesive leadership team, this role ensures KPI integrity, enables real‑time decision‑making, reduces reliance on manual reporting, and protects the long‑term integrity of the data warehouse as the business scales. The role includes dotted‑line oversight of data engineering resources and may directly manage business analysts, depending on experience.

This position is ideal for a technically strong analytics leader seeking broader business ownership-someone who uses data not only to report on performance, but to actively shape strategy and execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Modeling, Architecture & Integrity

  • Own and design core analytical data models and business logic supporting revenue, profitability, pricing, demand, sales pipeline, ticketing, and guest experience.
  • Partner with IT and Data Engineering to oversee warehouse structure, pipelines, and integrations, ensuring downstream reporting reliability.
  • Establish and enforce data governance standards, including KPI definitions, metric logic, reconciliation practices, and data quality controls.
  • Serve as the final owner of data integrity and reduce recurring data quality issues and manual fixes.

2. Dashboarding & Performance Reporting

  • Lead the build and maintenance of trusted, self‑serve dashboards for executives and operators using modern BI tools.
  • Engage hands‑on with data models, pipelines, and analytics outputs when needed-not purely a management role.
  • Deliver scalable reporting for forecasting, demand pacing, pricing, and sales and marketing performance, replacing spreadsheet‑based workflows with durable analytics products.

3. Data & Analytics Product Roadmap

  • Translate strategic and operational questions into analytics products, KPIs, and structured insights frameworks.
  • Own and execute the analytics roadmap across multiple non‑leasing revenue lines.
  • Balance short‑term business needs with long‑term platform scalability and recommend how emerging technologies (including AI) should be applied.

4. Cross‑Functional Leadership & Enablement

  • Act as the single accountable owner for analytics products from concept through adoption.
  • Ensure operational metrics roll cleanly into financial reporting, forecasting, and performance reviews.
  • Serve as the primary insights partner to business leaders, embedding analytics into day‑to‑day decision‑making and driving adoption.

5. Team, Process & Tooling

  • Manage or maintain dotted‑line oversight of data engineers, BI developers, analysts, and contractors.
  • Set clear technical standards, documentation expectations, prioritization, and delivery discipline.
  • Over time, expand scope into broader business leadership, including strategic planning, performance management, and analytics team development.

About You

  • 5-10+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or strategic finance
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, pipeline architecture, and analytics best practices
  • Proven experience owning analytics products end‑to‑end and reviewing work across data engineering and BI functions
  • Expert SQL skills and hands‑on experience with modern visualization tools
  • Strong partnership experience with Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, Operations, and Finance
  • Comfortable operating in fast‑growing, ambiguous environments
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
