Senior IAM Engineer
A leading technology-driven organization is seeking a seasoned IAM Engineer to join its Infrastructure and Security Engineering team. This role is ideal for a self-motivated professional with a strong background in both software development and cybersecurity, particularly in identity and access management systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement next-generation identity platforms.
- Strengthen existing infrastructure in collaboration with security teams.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance security and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain robust authentication and authorization services across on-prem and cloud environments.
- Partner with engineering teams to integrate IAM standards into core platforms.
- Improve operational maturity through automation and self-service tools using technologies like Terraform, Pulumi, and Crossplane.
- Contribute to identity governance systems and internal libraries (Java, Python, Go).
- Extend and customize third-party IAM solutions to meet diverse organizational needs.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in software or security engineering.
- Deep understanding of IAM principles including authentication, authorization, federation, session management, and zero trust.
- Expertise in foundational identity systems and their security models (e.g., Active Directory, LDAP).
- Experience with privileged access management strategies (e.g., Just-in-Time, Just Enough Access).
- Strong knowledge of PKI, certificate management, and cryptographic systems (e.g., SSH, X.509, HSMs).
- Hands-on experience with both commercial and open-source IAM tools (e.g., Azure AD, Okta, Vault, OPA).
- Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Java, Go, Python, Terraform HCL, Rego, and Shell.
