What You'll Do
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone ready to make an impact. You'll work closely with the founding team to redesign and scale the backend systems powering millions of daily phone conversations. You'll also help grow the engineering team, mentor junior developers, and play a key part in defining the technical roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
Architect and scale backend infrastructure to handle real-time audio interactions
Build and maintain robust public APIs for partner integrations
Develop connectors to CRMs, dialers, scheduling tools, and custom APIs
Collaborate with other backend engineers on real-time communication systems
Mentor junior team members and contribute to hiring efforts
Coordinate with DevOps to optimize deployment and scalability
Support frontend developers building the user-facing web app
Partner with machine learning engineers to integrate proprietary AI models
What We're Looking For
5 -7 years of experience designing and scaling backend systems
Strong track record building high-throughput, public-facing APIs
Previous experience in a fast-paced startup is a plus (Seed or Series A+ preferred)
Deep expertise in Python or Go
Clear and effective technical communication skills
