A leading technology-driven organization is seeking a Technical Lead to drive the design, development, and optimization of mission-critical purchase systems. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with strategic architecture decisions, guiding product direction while actively contributing to code and design.
This position is ideal for an experienced engineering leader who thrives in complex environments, champions best practices, and excels at building scalable, reliable, and high-performance solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Strategy
- Define architecture and technical roadmap for purchase systems
- Drive technology choices aligned with scalability, reliability, and business growth
- Champion engineering best practices and system resilience
Product Development & Delivery
- Translate requirements into actionable technical plans
- Oversee development lifecycle and ensure timely delivery of high-quality features
- Conduct code reviews and maintain system design standards
Team Leadership
- Mentor and coach engineers to build strong technical capabilities
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance culture
- Provide technical guidance for problem-solving and decision-making
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with business, operations, and data teams to meet evolving needs
- Coordinate with infrastructure and security teams for compliance and robustness
Qualifications & Skills
Experience
- 8+ years in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a technical leadership role
- Proven track record of leading end-to-end delivery of complex, high-scale systems
Technical Expertise
- Proficiency in backend technologies (Java, Python, Go) and microservices architecture
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Strong database skills (SQL and NoSQL)
- Familiarity with payment systems, purchase flows, or transaction-heavy applications
Leadership & Communication
- Strong decision-making skills with ability to influence technical direction
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to mentor and grow engineering talent
