A proprietary trading firm is seeking a seasoned Security Engineering Team Lead to support its internal security organization. The group focuses on safeguarding the company's core systems, applications, and employee-facing tools, with coverage spanning cloud environments, access control, endpoint protection, infrastructure security, vulnerability management, and newer areas such as AI risk and governance.

Responsibilities

Set direction for enterprise security initiatives across internal platforms and services
Design and implement security controls across a mix of on-premise and cloud-based environments, including endpoints and distributed systems
Develop and maintain a cohesive vulnerability management capability using multiple data sources and tools
Partner with engineering and infrastructure teams to drive improvements in areas such as identity, endpoint security, and application protection
Contribute to securing modern technologies including containerized workloads and AI-driven systems
Lead and mentor a team of engineers while also contributing directly to technical projects
Ensure security solutions support usability and productivity across the organization

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in security engineering or related fields
Prior experience leading or mentoring technical team members
Strong background in securing Linux-based systems at scale using automation and configuration management tools (required)
Experience working with major cloud platforms and associated security tooling
Exposure to modern security challenges related to AI systems, automation, and emerging technologies
Familiarity with endpoint security across major operating systems
Understanding of certificate management and related infrastructure concepts
Proficiency in Python or a similar scripting language (required)
Ability to make thoughtful tradeoffs between security requirements and user experience
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and building practical solutions in complex environments
