Compensation: $180,000-$350,000
A cutting-edge technology company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a newly formed AI-native team focused on modernizing legacy business applications. This is a hands-on engineering role in a greenfield environment, where you'll leverage AI tools and agent-based systems to accelerate development and drive large-scale migration to open-source platforms.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys solving complex backend challenges, and is excited to work at the intersection of AI and enterprise modernization.
Key Responsibilities
AI-Accelerated Development
- Use AI-assisted tools to write, test, and debug code efficiently
- Build and integrate open-source applications using Python and JavaScript
- Develop intelligent agents and workflows to support migration efforts
Technical Leadership
- Own the technical strategy and execution from design to deployment
- Ensure code quality, scalability, and performance across systems
- Translate business logic and configurations into modern architectures
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with internal teams to understand legacy application requirements
- Identify migration challenges and apply AI-driven solutions
- Ensure new systems meet operational and security standards
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of experience in software development, with a backend focus
- Proficiency in Python and JavaScript for full stack development
- Experience with containerization and cloud platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, AWS, OCI)
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to lead technical initiatives
Preferred
- Experience with generative AI and large language models (LLMs)
- Background in building automation agents or intelligent systems
- Familiarity with AI-enabled tools like Devin, Replit, Cursor, Zapier
- Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience designing user interfaces with a focus on UX
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $180,000-$350,000
