Security Engineer
Glocomms is partnered with a leading FinTech platform at the forefront of digital asset infrastructure to identify a Security Engineer based in Downtown Manhattan. This role will join a dynamic Product Security team and offers the chance to work with modern security technologies while contributing to a fast‑growing, engineering‑driven organization operating in one of the most dynamic sectors in finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead vulnerability management processes across both application and infrastructure environments.
- Validate, assign, triage, and prioritize vulnerabilities using risk‑based methodologies, asset criticality, and qualitative risk assessments.
- Utilize AI‑driven tools to reduce false positives and improve detection accuracy.
- Enhance application security tooling and produce clear documentation for engineering partners.
- Build dashboards, KPIs, and visualizations to communicate vulnerability trends, SLAs, and cyber risk insights.
- Aggregate and analyze data from vulnerability management and asset inventory systems.
- Partner with engineering teams to drive remediation and communicate security findings effectively.
- Support security assessments and continuous tooling improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Technology, or related field. Relevant security and cloud certifications preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity, vulnerability management, application security, or security operations. Prior experience in Crypto or FinTech is a plus, but not required.
- Proficiency with scripting languages and object‑oriented programming.
- Strong understanding of application security practices and vulnerability management frameworks.
- Highly analytical, detail‑oriented, and proactive with strong independent problem‑solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; collaborative and solution‑driven.
