Manager, Software Development and IT Support
Glocomms is partnering with a global technology focused organization to find a Senior Manager of IT Support & Application Development to lead internal IT support operations and oversee the development of custom business applications. This role manages a team of support engineers and developers and requires strong technical expertise across .NET technologies, SQL Server, REST APIs, and enterprise IT operations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily IT support operations, including ticket management, escalation handling, device provisioning, endpoint security, patching, hardware and software troubleshooting, and overall service performance.
- Manage employee on-boarding and off-boarding processes, maintaining access controls within Active Directory and Azure AD, and ensuring compliance with security and governance standards.
- Guide application development initiatives, including work in C#, .NET Framework/.NET Core, REST APIs, and SQL Server.
- Ensure applications and integrations are scalable, stable, and aligned with business needs while supporting best practices in coding, testing, documentation, and deployment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 8+ years of combined IT support and software development experience
- 3+ years in a leadership or management role
- Strong technical experience with C#, .NET Framework/.NET Core, RESTful services, and SQL Server (including T‑SQL and stored procedure optimization)
- Experience supporting Office 365, Microsoft Teams, device management, and endpoint security
- Proficiency with Active Directory and Azure AD administration, including access management and RBAC
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, IT asset management, and service desk operations
