The Role
My client is hiring a Senior or Staff Software Engineer to help design, build, and scale the core platform. This is a high‑impact, high‑ownership role with meaningful influence over architecture, product direction, and engineering standards.
You'll work on systems that deal with complex data, real‑world constraints, and evolving customer requirements-closely partnering with product, design, and fellow engineers from day one.
What You'll Do
- Design and build core backend services and platform components
- Own features end‑to‑end, from technical design through implementation and deployment
- Make and influence architectural decisions across the system
- Collaborate closely with product and design to translate user needs into scalable solutions
- Improve system performance, reliability, and developer experience
- Mentor other engineers and help raise the technical bar (Staff level)
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience (Senior) or 8+ years (Staff)
- Strong background building and operating production backend systems
- Experience owning complex technical projects and driving them to completion
- Comfort working with distributed systems, data‑intensive applications, or infrastructure‑adjacent software
- Experience deploying and running services in cloud environments
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative, product‑minded approach to engineering
