Your Role:
- Develop and execute a forward-thinking AI vision for production and supply chain, balancing immediate business impact with long-term innovation.
- Lead the redesign of manufacturing processes to create AI-native, future-proof operations-beyond simply applying AI to existing workflows.
- Drive use cases such as predictive maintenance, quality control, adaptive factories, AI-driven scheduling, autonomous supply chain orchestration, and digital twins.
- Challenge the status quo: What will tomorrow's production lines look like? How will human operators and robots collaborate? What does standardized automation across factories mean for the future?
- Define disruptive concepts for diverse business units, from assembly-driven operations to specialized chemical or materials production.
- Balance strategic foresight with pragmatic steps that deliver measurable business value today.
- Build a strong network across AI, robotics, and industrial innovation ecosystems.
- Act as a sparring partner for global operations leadership, enabling both global frameworks and local adaptability.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives and build a team of experts to accelerate adoption.
Your Profile:
- 10+ years of experience applying robotics, digital technologies, or AI to manufacturing and supply chain in an industrial/B2B context.
- Proven track record of implementing AI solutions at scale, with impact across multiple plants.
- Background in physics, chemistry, or automation engineering, with the ability to connect AI opportunities to diverse production technologies.
- Visionary mindset about the future of production, from human-machine collaboration to autonomous factories.
- Strong familiarity with enterprise environments (MES, ERP, IoT) and disruptive approaches (robotics, agentic AI, digital twins).
- Deep understanding of what works-and what doesn't - when introducing AI into complex manufacturing landscapes.
- Natural curiosity and passion for new technologies, with the ability to translate trends into actionable opportunities.
- Leadership presence and the ability to influence senior stakeholders across functions and geographies.
- Pragmatic, hands-on approach combined with strategic foresight.
- Excellent communication skills in English; German is a plus.
