Middleware Engineer - Global Banking Client (9-Month Contract, Hybrid - Central London)
We are seeking an experienced and driven Middleware Engineer to join a prestigious global banking institution on a 9-month contract. This is a hybrid role, requiring one day per week on-site in Central London, with the flexibility to work remotely for the remainder of the week. As a Middleware Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, implementation, and support of middleware solutions that enable secure, scalable, and high-performance communication between distributed applications. You will work with technologies such as IBM MQ, WebSphere, TIBCO, and other enterprise messaging platforms to ensure the reliability and efficiency of the bank's integration landscape. Your responsibilities will include configuring and maintaining middleware environments, troubleshooting complex issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust integration solutions.
You will be expected to apply your deep technical expertise to ensure high availability, performance, and security of middleware systems. This includes monitoring system health, automating routine tasks, and contributing to the continuous improvement of integration processes. You will also be responsible for maintaining comprehensive documentation, adhering to best practices, and supporting compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
