What You'll Be Responsible For
Creating Enterprise Design Principles
- Develop organization-wide technology guidelines, architectural frameworks, and reusable solution blueprints.
- Introduce scalable governance processes that promote consistency while supporting agility.
- Partner with technical leaders to establish common approaches for application, data, integration, and infrastructure design.
- Embed architecture standards into project delivery processes through practical tools, documentation, and review mechanisms.
Connecting Strategy to Technology
- Build a business capability framework that links organizational objectives to technology investments.
- Evaluate how applications, platforms, integrations, and data assets support key business functions.
- Partner with stakeholders to identify operational gaps, overlapping technologies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Convert strategic business objectives into technology priorities and execution plans.
Shaping the Future State Environment
- Develop and maintain a holistic view of current and future technology ecosystems.
- Recommend modernization initiatives that improve efficiency, scalability, and maintainability.
- Guide investment decisions through analysis of dependencies, risks, and long-term business impact.
- Align technology roadmaps across multiple functional and technical teams.
Driving Solution Success
- Provide architectural leadership on strategic initiatives and enterprise-wide programs.
- Facilitate technical workshops, architecture reviews, and design discussions.
- Guide teams toward leveraging shared platforms, established patterns, and reusable services.
- Ensure architectural considerations are incorporated throughout project planning and execution.
Executive Advisory & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Serve as a trusted technology advisor to senior leadership.
- Communicate complex technical decisions in clear business language.
- Build consensus across diverse stakeholder groups with competing priorities.
- Promote architectural best practices and technology literacy across the organization.
Technology Oversight & Continuous Improvement
- Establish processes for tracking architectural exceptions, technical debt, and modernization opportunities.
- Evaluate technology portfolios for optimization and consolidation opportunities.
- Ensure enterprise solutions meet organizational standards for reliability, security, compliance, and scalability.
- Support governance and production-readiness activities for critical initiatives
Education & Credentials
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
- Advanced degree preferred.
- Enterprise Architecture certification such as TOGAF or a comparable framework is highly desirable.
- Additional certifications in cloud architecture, cybersecurity architecture, platform architecture, or regulated systems validation are viewed favorably.
Professional Experience
- 12+ years of experience leading enterprise architecture, technology strategy, solution architecture, or digital transformation initiatives.
- Experience operating within regulated environments where security, compliance, quality, and governance are critical.
- Proven success building architecture functions, governance programs, standards, and technology roadmaps from the ground up.
- Deep understanding of cloud platforms, identity and access management, enterprise productivity solutions, security technologies, and low-code platforms.
- Experience designing scalable data, analytics, and AI-enabled solutions that support business growth and operational efficiency.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts, tradeoffs, and recommendations to senior leadership.

- Platform ecosystems supporting CRM, quality, regulatory, clinical, or business operations functions.
