About the Role
A leading organization is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join its cybersecurity team, focusing on cloud security within a dynamic DevSecOps environment. This is a hybrid role combining architecture, engineering, and hands-on technical execution. You'll be instrumental in designing and implementing secure cloud services, automating controls, and integrating cross-platform cybersecurity solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert in cloud security, particularly within AWS environments.
- Design and implement cybersecurity strategies and controls for cloud services.
- Automate security workflows using Python and infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security into cloud architecture and operations.
- Lead architectural discussions and drive secure design decisions.
- Mentor team members and promote cloud security best practices.
- Participate in incident response rotations and contribute to continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Proven experience securing AWS cloud environments using native and third-party tools.
- Expertise in AWS services such as SCP, KMS, GuardDuty, SecurityHub, IAM, VPCE, Macie, and Inspector.
- Strong coding skills in Python, especially with Boto3 and CloudFormation.
- Experience with container security, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and runtime protection.
- Familiarity with vulnerability management and endpoint detection in cloud workloads.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Bonus: Experience with Terraform, EKS/ECS, and networking fundamentals.
