Network Engineer
Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and support enterprise network infrastructure including routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, SD‑WAN, and virtual networks.
- Manage site‑to‑site connectivity, remote access technologies, and cloud network integrations.
- Implement and maintain cloud networking and security controls across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments.
- Conduct system updates, patches, and backups to ensure reliability and security.
- Maintain documentation including diagrams, configuration records, and inventory.
- Monitor network and system performance using industry-standard tools and generate operational reports.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and support teams to resolve issues and optimize systems.
- Support disaster recovery testing, planning, and execution.
- Participate in general systems administration and end‑user support as needed.
- Continuously learn new technologies and contribute to environment improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in network engineering, systems engineering, or cloud infrastructure roles.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, VPNs, firewalls, DNS, load balancing, and routing protocols.
- Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure or another major cloud provider.
- Familiarity with hybrid cloud integrations.
- Experience with monitoring/logging tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Azure Monitor, Splunk).
- Proficiency with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Knowledge of virtualization or hyperconverged platforms (VMware, Nutanix).
- Experience with disaster recovery, backup technologies, and business continuity planning.
