Information Security Engineer
We are partnering with a growing bank to hire multiple Information Security Engineers as they stand up a newly formed security engineering team. This is a strong opportunity to join at an early stage and have real influence on how security is built and scaled across the organization.

What You'll Do
Security Architecture and Engineering
- Design and implement security controls across cloud and on-prem environments
- Support and manage tools such as firewalls, endpoint protection, SIEM, DLP, and identity and access management
- Work closely with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and development workflows
- Contribute to secure design decisions as systems evolve
- Help automate security processes using scripting
Threat and Vulnerability Management
- Support vulnerability management activities, including scanning and remediation tracking
- Analyze findings and help prioritize risk-based remediation efforts
- Work with threat intelligence to stay informed on emerging risks
- Monitor and respond to security alerts
Incident Response and Monitoring
- Investigate alerts from SIEM and endpoint detection tools
- Support incident response efforts from triage through resolution
- Help maintain and improve response playbooks
- Contribute to strengthening detection and monitoring capabilities
Compliance and Risk Management
- Support alignment with frameworks such as NIST, FFIEC, PCI-DSS, SOC 2, OWASP, HIPAA, and GDPR
- Assist with audit preparation and evidence gathering
- Help maintain documentation for controls and processes
- Contribute to reporting and risk visibility
Cloud and Third-Party Security
- Support security efforts across AWS and Azure environments
- Help maintain strong cloud security posture
- Participate in third-party risk assessments and vendor reviews
What They're Looking For
Core Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Experience working in AWS, Azure, or both
- Strong understanding of security principles and frameworks
- Hands-on experience with tools such as SIEM, EDR, DLP, and vulnerability management platforms
- Familiarity with Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code tools
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and secure development practices
- Knowledge of networking, authentication, encryption, and access controls
- Scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, or similar
Experience
- Approximately 5 to 8 years of experience in cybersecurity or security engineering roles
- Experience in DevSecOps, security operations, or engineering environments
- Background within financial services or another regulated industry is preferred
- Comfortable working across teams in an agile environment
Preferred Certifications
- CISSP, CISM, CEH, GIAC, or similar
- AWS or Azure security certifications
