A leading manufacturer in the premium consumer goods sector is seeking an experienced Operational Technology (OT) Engineer to join its Fort Smith-based operations. This role is critical to maintaining and evolving the security, reliability, and performance of OT systems that support 24/7 manufacturing environments.
As the OT Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and securing industrial networks, managing virtualized environments, and supporting automation platforms. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that operational systems are resilient, compliant, and aligned with broader digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- OT Network Architecture: Design and maintain secure OT networks, including firewall configurations, remote access, and wireless infrastructure.
- Patch & Vulnerability Management: Monitor security advisories, test and deploy patches across OT/IT systems, and track updates for control devices.
- Virtualization & Endpoint Security: Manage virtual machines, backup strategies, and endpoint protection to ensure system integrity.
- Security Governance: Maintain documentation, enforce security protocols in project execution, and support third-party integrations.
- Incident Response: Lead response efforts for cybersecurity and operational incidents, including root cause analysis and recovery validation.
- Automation & IIoT: Support and lead projects involving PLCs, HMIs, MES, and IIoT technologies. Ensure the agility and reliability of automation platforms.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial automation and OT systems.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco networking, Microsoft Server, VMware, and Rockwell platforms.
- Proficiency in Rockwell Software Suite (FactoryTalk, AssetCentre, etc.) and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Familiarity with Siemens or Allen Bradley systems, and basic Linux administration.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles in industrial environments.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
