Data Consultant
I'm currently supporting a major global corporate & investment banking group on a 6‑month renewable contract for a Senior Data Consultant based in either Lisbon or Porto.
About the company:
This organisation is one of Europe's largest and most established financial groups, operating across Europe, the Americas, and APAC. This division provides solutions in areas such as financing, global markets, advisory, and securities services. The business is highly data‑driven and is investing significantly in analytics, automation, and AI to support strategic decision‑making across its international operations.
You would be joining a specialised Data, Analytics & AI consulting team that works across Paris, Lisbon, and Porto. The team acts as an internal centre of excellence, partnering with business units to identify use cases, deliver analytics solutions, and support the organisation's wider data transformation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading workshops, identifying high‑value use cases, and designing scalable data solutions
- Translating business needs into clear requirements and actionable delivery roadmaps
- Delivering both adhoc and pipeline‑based data analysis (ETL, SQL, Python)
- Promoting data‑driven decision making across the organisation
- Managing project progress and coordinating with stakeholders using tools such as Jira and Confluence
They're looking for someone with:
- 6+ years' experience in data, analytics, or consulting roles
- Strong technical skills across ETL, SQL, Python, and ideally Power BI
- Experience with project management methodologies (Agile, PMP, etc.)
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Knowledge of corporate governance frameworks, ideally within financial services
- A Master's degree in Engineering or Management
- Fluent English (French or Portuguese are an advantage)
