Customer Details

Our customer is one of Europe's biggest banking groups, they have locations all across the continent with one of their biggest offices being located in the heart of Brussels.
Due to some new projects being signed off and their team already being at full capacity, the customer is looking to the freelance market for an Active Directory Engineer to reinforce their team.
The customer can offer a lot of great things, none more so for a freelancer than mostly remote working and a 12-Month contract, they have a diverse team so it's a chance to work with colleagues from all works of life, learn new experiences and understand different ways of working to take into future assignments.
Glocomms has a great relationship with the customer and we have been placing freelancers into their projects for the last 4 years and have many consultants working with them at the moment.

Job Details

System Engineer (AD and Windows)

Primary responsibilities of the position will include : Maintaining Active Directory and LDAP authentication services for multiple forests and domains, you will be working in mostly an operational capacity but also contributing towards project work when upgrades come.
Tech Stack includes : Active Directory (objects, attributes, GPO's, sites, replication, etc), Windows Server, ADFS, VMware.
The team is mostly made up of consultants working in Brussels, so locally based candidates will be more highly considered, but the customer has some remote workers aswell so this is an option.
Every team member speaks English, but the majority also speak French or Dutch, so there is the possibility to work in multiple languages or even to pick one up on the job!
The customer has close to 10,000 employees with approximately 20,000 devices, just to offer some context about the size of the environment.
Given the position is a RUN role there will always be work to be completed, so given they are satisfied with the standard of your work there is room for extensions!
No certificates are required for the position but any relevant Active Directory, Windows, Microsoft or System Engineering certifications will certainly go a long way in supporting your application!
