Software Engineer II
Our client is seeking a Software Engineer II to help build and enhance the web-based viewing and collaboration experiences that power digital twin and infrastructure management solutions. This individual will play a key role in developing scalable frontend applications used by engineers, owners, and contractors to visualize, review, and collaborate on large-scale infrastructure projects across transportation, utilities, buildings, and other critical infrastructure sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deliver frontend features using TypeScript, React, Cesium, and related technologies
- Develop and maintain reusable micro-frontend components within a large-scale monorepo environment
- Build intuitive user experiences for 3D visualization, collaboration, and digital twin workflows
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code with strong unit and end-to-end test coverage
- Participate in code reviews, agile ceremonies, and architectural discussions
- Document technical decisions and feature implementations
- Mentor team members through collaboration, code reviews, and knowledge sharing
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of frontend development experience using TypeScript and React
- Experience with frontend testing frameworks and end-to-end testing
- Experience building component-based user interfaces and consuming REST APIs
- Understanding of data structures, object-oriented programming, and modern software development practices
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments
- Familiarity with browser-based 3D technologies such as WebGL, Cesium, three.js, or similar
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitHub Copilot, CI/CD pipelines, and Git
- Experience with monorepo and micro-frontend architectures
- Exposure to digital twin, BIM, CAD, or infrastructure-related platforms
- Experience developing AI or Copilot-enabled features
- Knowledge of WebGL and 3D rendering optimization
