SCADA Systems Engineer
A leading power generation company is seeking a SCADA Systems Engineer to support and enhance critical operational technology (OT) and infrastructure systems across a fleet of energy assets. This is a hands-on role combining SCADA administration, systems engineering, networking, virtualization, cybersecurity, and industrial controls support.
Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and enhance a real-time SCADA platform supporting power generation operations.
- Support telemetry and communications between control systems, RTUs, PLCs, and external entities using protocols such as DNP3 and ICCP.
- Develop custom calculations, scripts, dashboards, and automation tools to improve operational visibility and performance.
- Manage virtual and physical server infrastructure, including provisioning, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
- Maintain Active Directory, user access controls, backups, and system security across IT and OT environments.
- Assist with network architecture, cybersecurity initiatives, and compliance efforts within industrial environments.
- Participate in troubleshooting and on-call support for critical operational systems.
Desired Background
- 7+ years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure, virtualization, or Windows Server environments.
- Experience with SCADA, DCS, industrial controls, manufacturing, utilities, energy, or other operational technology environments.
- Strong understanding of networking, cybersecurity, server administration, Active Directory, and systems integration.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols and real-time operational data systems.
- Ability to work independently in a highly technical, mission-critical environment.
