Cloud Engineer
We have a current opportunity for a Cloud Engineer on a contract basis. The position will be based in Milan. For further information about this position please apply.
- Collaborate with team members to define AWS Cloud infrastructure for cloud-based solutions.
- Provide senior-level support on AWS; familiarity with Azure is also valuable due to upcoming multi-cloud initiatives.
- Lead implementation efforts across areas such as infrastructure architecture, containerization, serverless computing, databases, networking, security, and compliance.
- Maintain infrastructure environments using standardized processes and automation tools.
- Produce detailed and low-level design documentation and coordinate with other team members.
- Own and manage the cloud monitoring platform.
- Deliver second-line support for cloud infrastructure with strong troubleshooting capabilities.
- Participate in on-call duties related to AWS.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience with AWS.
- 5+ years of experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins, Terraform, CloudFormation).
- 5+ years working in a DevOps-oriented environment.
- Proven experience designing and implementing AWS-based projects.
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Python.
- Solid understanding of container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
- Able to work independently and seek guidance when necessary.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams and departments.
- Security-focused mindset.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Excellent client-facing and inter-team communication skills.
- Calm under pressure with a commitment to high performance.
