Network & Infrastructure Engineer
Glocomms is partnered with a global consumer products manufacturer seeking a Senior Network & Infrastructure Engineer to support and enhance a complex global IT environment. This individual will lead the design, optimization, and security of enterprise networking and infrastructure platforms while driving modernization initiatives across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. The role offers a combination of hands-on engineering, technical leadership, and project ownership within a highly collaborative organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and support enterprise network infrastructure across LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, & VPN.
- Manage routers, switches, firewalls, and network security technologies, across Cisco environments.
- Support Azure cloud connectivity, ensuring reliable and secure infrastructure services.
- Administer VMware environments (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and virtual networking).
- Lead infrastructure modernization, lifecycle management, and disaster recovery.
- Monitor network and infrastructure performance, perform root cause analysis, and provide Tier 3 escalation support.
- Develop technical documentation, network diagrams, and operational standards while mentoring junior team members.
- Partner with cross-functional teams and vendors to deliver strategic infrastructure projects and improvements.
- Able to participate in 24/7 on-call rotation and after-hours/weekend support as needed.
- Ability to travel when needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience supporting enterprise network and infrastructure environments.
- Strong expertise in enterprise networking (BGP, OSPF, STP, QoS)
- Hands-on experience with Cisco or Palo Alto technologies.
- Hands-on experience supporting Azure cloud environments and hybrid infrastructure.
- Strong VMware experience, including ESXi, vCenter, and vSphere technologies.
- Proven experience with disaster recovery, high-availability environments, and infrastructure troubleshooting.
Preferred Qualifications
- CCNP, CCIE, PCNSE, NSE, Security+, or Network+
- Experience supporting global, multi-site enterprise environments.
