We are looking for a Founding Product Designer to help define and shape the product experience for an AI-driven platform operating in a complex, workflow-intensive environment. This role is focused on transforming sophisticated processes into intuitive, trustworthy software that users rely on every day. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, domain experts, and customers to understand how people work today and design the interfaces, workflows, and systems that make advanced technology feel approachable and reliable. As one of the earliest design hires, you will have significant ownership over the product experience and the opportunity to influence the direction of both the product and design function.
Key Responsibilities
- Design intuitive end-to-end product experiences across core platform workflows
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, domain experts, and customers to understand user needs and translate them into thoughtful product experiences
- Own the design process from discovery and user research through wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and production-ready specifications
- Create intuitive workflows for AI-powered products and complex operational processes
- Conduct user research, gather feedback, and iterate quickly based on customer insights
- Build and evolve the company's design system, interaction patterns, and visual language
- Design for clarity, trust, accessibility, and usability across sophisticated workflows
- Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure high-quality implementation of designs
- Establish design best practices and help raise the quality bar across the organization
- Influence product direction through strong design thinking, user advocacy, and systems-level problem solving
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience designing modern software products
- Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional product thinking, interaction design, and visual design
- Expertise with Figma and modern product design workflows
- Experience designing complex web applications, SaaS platforms, or enterprise software
- Strong systems-thinking skills and an ability to simplify complex workflows
- Comfortable collaborating closely with engineers throughout the implementation process
- High ownership mentality and ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments
- Excellent communication skills and strong product intuition
- Strong attention to detail and pride in crafting products users love
Nice to Have
- Experience designing AI-powered or agent-driven products
- Experience building enterprise workflow software or productivity platforms
- Experience designing for regulated, compliance-focused, or trust-sensitive environments
- Experience creating and scaling design systems
- Experience conducting customer research and usability testing programs
