Overview
We are supporting a leading financial services organisation on a large-scale integration programme and are seeking a Senior Python Developer to join the team on a long-term contract basis.
This is a highly hands-on engineering role focused on designing, developing, and delivering integration solutions using Python and AWS. The successful consultant will work closely with technology and business stakeholders, contributing to both solution design and software development while collaborating across multiple teams.
The role sits within the Client & Business Technology function and reports directly to the Director leading the programme.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement integration solutions using Python.
- Build scalable and maintainable applications within AWS cloud environments.
- Work hands-on throughout the software development lifecycle, from design through deployment.
- Develop APIs, integrations, and data exchange solutions between internal and external platforms.
- Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to solution architecture where required.
- Troubleshoot, optimise, and enhance existing applications and integrations.
- Work closely with distributed teams, following established development standards and best practices.
- Contribute to code reviews and ensure high-quality software delivery.
