Customer Details

Our customer is the IT Services Branch of a leading French Financial Institution, they work solely with the bank on their projects.
Due to an internal reshuffle and an excess in project work the customer is looking to bring someone in on a long-term mission. We are ideally looking for someone to join at the start of May but this can be flexible for the right candidate.
The customer offers a great opportunity to work alongside a dedicated team of Mainframe Engineers and the chance to work on new technologies as they are rolled out into the business.
Glocomms have been working with this customer for 5 years and have many consultants working on projects within their business.

Job Details

Mainframe System Engineer

Primary responsibilities include : managing the Middleware of the team (CICS, IMS, zOS connect), ensuring the maintenance of the systems in operational conditions, incident management, patch deployment and performance monitoring of the subsystems.
Tech Stack : IMS, CICS, z/OS Connect, z/OS System, DB2
Ensure the implementation of new deployments, ensuring the stability of sub-systems, participating in the new evolution's and the technical watch of the field.
Joining the team that handles the Mainframe systems, in total there is around 20-25 staff across the sub-teams.
The customer has regional teams based in Spain, UK and Italy so a business level of English is required for the mission, but the working language in the office will be French.
Great opportunity for a long-term engagement as the customer is looking to bring someone into the team for over 3 years.
No certificates are required for the mission, but any relevant Systems, Mainframe or Infrastructure certificates will certainly support your application.
