A leading test lab that works with numerous Fortune 100 and other industry leading companies is looking for a Lead FIPS 140 Security Engineer to be a part of and lead a team to assess compliance of devices against the Common Criteria and FIPS 140 certification schemes. For this amazing opportunity they are looking for someone with a solid understanding of OSI model, TCP/IP, Ethernet, and other networking concepts along with someone who has experience working secure communication protocols such as SSH, IPsec, TLS, MACsec, etc., with cryptographic algorithm suites being the most important.
Key responsibilities of the Lead FIPS 140 Security Engineer include:
* Conduct and manage Common Criteria evaluations against US NIAP approved protection profiles and custom ST/EAL evaluations.
* Participation in FIPS 140 crypto validations.
* Configure and test network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, IDS/IPS, etc.
* Develop evaluation documentation.
Key requirements of the Lead FIPS 140 Security Engineer include:
* 2-4 years of direct experience with FIPS and/or CC standards.
* Ability to use tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump to record and analyze packet captures of network traffic.
* Have some experience with various programming languages (Perl, Python, BASH, etc.) and development environments.
* Have good problem solving, trouble shooting, and multi-tasking skills.
* Having knowledge of common security related protocols and their design (i.e. SSH, IPsec, TLS, etc.).
