The Role:
- 1st and 2nd line IT hardware and software support for onsite and remote users
- Providing a high level of IT support to technical and non-technical staff
- Ensure that all problems are accurately logged within Helpdesk system, resolved promptly and efficiently or escalated where appropriate
- Cooperation with suppliers and preparation of IT equipment ordering for the efficient handling of support requests
- Preparing new workstations (laptop/desktop), OS installations, backups, data wipe, hardware disposal
- Configuration and installation of physical IT equipment at new workplaces (test rigs, desks - including cabling, monitor arms assembly etc.)
- The ability to conduct hardware issues analysis and fix (parts replacement, enhancements etc.)
- Employee onboarding: providing an IT introduction for new starters
- Assist with ongoing projects - last minute workload (IT hardware and software)
The Person:
- Professional manner with excellent communication skills
- Keen interest in Information Technology
Desirable Experience:
- Windows 10, Active Directory, Microsoft Office (including 365)
- Understanding networking technologies (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP)
- Knowledge of Remote Access tools
- Proficient in diagnostics and repairing computer hardware
- Knowledge of Mathworks/Matlab software is a plus
- Experience in work with ISO/IEC 27001:2013 standard is a plus
