Director of Sales - Cyber Security - Atlanta, GA
A cyber security sales professional is needed to assist the overall growth and acumen of one of Atlanta's most dynamic startups. This Gartner rater company is looking for a professional that comes from a substantial technical background and maintains the ability to meet and exceed sales quotas. Not only will this candidate be able to collaborate with the VP of Sales and the field team, they will also be able to manage a pipeline and permeate new business opportunities and prospects effectively.
Minimum Requirements
- An expertise in prospecting using skills like:
- Cold Calling
- E-Mail probes
- Field marketing
- Web inquiries
- Offline based initiatives
- Ability to manage a pipeline in a coordinated fashion
- The capability to drive complex software sales
- The competence to be an effective communicator not only to the VP of Sales but to the outside field team as well
- Strength in identifying and closing on new business opportunities
- Adequate knowledge of web related technologies (Web applications, Web Services, Service Oriented Architectures, Micro-services, Containerization of services) and of network/web related protocols. This includes very basics of web like using REST protocol, using JSON data format.
- Interest in all aspects of security research and development
- Masters/Bachelors' degree in Computer Science or related field (in lieu of degree, 4 years of relevant work experience)
The ideal candidate will have:
- A deep knowledge of vulnerability testing, assessments and management
- At least 7+ years of experience in driving complex software sales
- The intelligence to accurately locate and mitigate security threats
