Introduction
GloComms is seeking a Database Administrator to join their team in Tampa, United States. As the Database Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the security, performance, and availability of the company's databases. You will work with other IT professionals to ensure that data is stored and retrieved accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities
The following are the main responsibilities of the role:
- Design, install, maintain, and upgrade databases
- Ensure data security and integrity
- Develop and maintain database documentation
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues
- Develop and maintain backup and recovery procedures
- Manage database users and permissions
- Work with other IT professionals to ensure that databases are integrated with other systems
- Develop and maintain scripts and queries to support the business
- Develop and maintain database standards and procedures
- Provide technical support to end-users
Skills

- Strong knowledge of database management systems
- Experience with Oracle databases
- Experience with database design and development
- Experience with database security
- Experience with backup and recovery procedures
