Job Title: Cloud Security Engineer
Comapny Description: I am seeking a highly motivated Cloud Security Engineer to join the team at a leading automotive company. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure cloud solutions that support the company's business objectives. You will work closely with the engineering, operations, and security teams to ensure that our cloud infrastructure is secure, resilient, and scalable.
Responsibilities of the Cloud Security Engineer:
- Design and implement secure cloud architectures that meet the company's business objectives
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards for cloud environments
- Conduct security assessments and audits of cloud environments, and identify and mitigate security risks
- Implement and maintain cloud security controls, such as identity and access management, encryption, and network security
- Work with engineering and operations teams to ensure that cloud applications and services are secure and comply with security policies and standards
- Develop and maintain incident response plans and procedures for cloud environments
- Monitor cloud environments for security incidents and vulnerabilities, and respond to security incidents in a timely and effective manner
- Collaborate with external security partners and vendors to ensure that cloud environments are secure
Requirements of the Cloud Security Engineer:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in cloud security engineering, with a focus on AWS and Azure environments
- Experience designing and implementing secure cloud architectures using industry-standard security frameworks (e.g., CIS, NIST, ISO)
- Strong understanding of network and infrastructure security, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems
- Hands-on experience with security tools such as vulnerability scanners, SIEMs, and IDS/IPS systems
- Experience with identity and access management solutions, such as AWS IAM and Azure Active Directory
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications of the Cloud Security Engineer:
- Cloud security certification (e.g., AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate)
- Experience with container security, such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Ansible)
- Experience with automotive industry security standards (e.g., ISO/SAE 21434, ASPICE)
